Guided owner installation
An owner installs on the company host and walks through business setup on that machine.
Obsidian Core™
AI back office for everyday work
“Everyday work should move with less chasing and less repeating.”
Deployment
Obsidian Core™ is downloaded and installed on a company-controlled, always-on computer, workstation, or server. That installation runs the private application, API, Vault, database, and optional local AI service. Staff use individual accounts through browsers. This public site does not hold the Vault.
What you get
Deployment does not use a portable SSD, a Golden Build or Recovery drive, USB plug-in, or a license bound to a drive serial or a fixed computer. Customers are not asked to assemble Docker or a local model. Unverified operating systems are not listed as supported.

Path 2
IT follows the deployment guide. The product is the same. This page does not publish a public installer file.

What setup looks like
Select a step. Optional local AI is confirmed if you use it. Core records, documents, approvals, workflows, and timekeeping run in Base Mode without AI. Backup stays a separate verified copy you control—not a drive shipped as the product.
Step
Start with who you are and how the business is organized.
Step
Show where clients, jobs, documents, and records belong.
Step
Base Mode works without it. Confirm local AI only if you want that assistance.
Step
Choose a separate place for your backup and check that it works.
Step
The Core is organized around your business and ready for everyday work.
Setup · 01
Tell Obsidian Core™ the basics: who you are, how your business is organized, and the kind of work you do.
Conceptual demonstration — normal questions, not a technical questionnaire.
Setup · 02
Connect the information that matters to your operation—clients, jobs, documents, records, and the work you already keep. You do not need to rebuild the business from scratch.
Conceptual path — not a claim of automatic migration from every tool.
Setup · 03
Core work does not require AI. If you enable the optional local AI service on the company host, setup confirms it is ready for permitted assistance. You are not asked to build that service yourself.
Intended V1 setup experience — the customer sees readiness, not the machinery underneath.
Setup · 04
You supply a separate verified backup and production power protection. If the host is replaced, migration and recovery onto the new host are part of the direction. Software data protection, Vault permissions, and audit records remain in the product.
A backup is a separate verified copy of company information, not the only disk the installation lives on. If the host is damaged, that copy is what recovery and replacement-host migration use.
Intended V1 setup experience — guided choices, not a storage engineering checklist.
Setup · 05
Once setup is complete, the Core is organized around your business and ready for everyday work.
Operating environment
Staff use phones, tablets, and computers through the browser. The installation itself needs a suitable company host. This site does not claim installers for platforms that have not been verified, and it does not publish memory or graphics minimums.
Desktop
Discussed when Windows is the company host. Not a blanket compatibility claim.
Desktop / server
Discussed when Linux is the company host. Not a guarantee for every distribution.
Desktop
Only where a verified path exists. This page does not promise one.
Environment fit
A Windows host can be discussed if that is the computer the company will keep running. Verified support for a specific version is confirmed in the conversation, not guaranteed from this page.
Browsers on staff devices reach the installation. The host is not a USB stick and not a license locked to one machine identity.
Internet is required to download the software and for remote access. Local office work can continue without Internet when the host and the local network are available. Remote access stops when the host or its Internet connection is down.
Access
Each installation serves one company, with multiple users and locations. Individual accounts are the access model. There is no public price on this page.
Office
Phones, tablets, and computers in the office use browsers against the company host.
Away
Remote use is part of the V1 direction when it is securely configured. It is not available if the host or its Internet link is down.
